Ira Rabkin Esq.
Ira is a native of Camden County, New Jersey, having lived here all of his life – except for the times he was away for college, law school, and in the U.S. army. He graduated from Camden High School, and then went on to Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude. He then attended and graduated from Harvard Law School.
For many years, he was a member of a prominent law firm located in the City of Camden, leaving there for three years to return to Boston with his wife, Maryann J. Rabkin, who is now his partner in Rabkin Law Offices, P.C., located in Cherry Hill.
In addition to a successful career spanning decades dedicated to the legal service of our community, Ira was a visiting professor at Harvard Law School, where he worked and taught at the Harvard Legal Services Center. He assisted law students in preparing cases and seeing them through to conclusion.
As the founding member of our firm, Ira has achieved an “AV status” with Martindale-Hubbell, a top rating given only to a relatively few of the entire nation’s lawyers.
Upon their return to Camden County, they opened their current practice, Rabkin Law Offices, P.C., located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Ira is a member of the Camden County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Third United States Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ira has served on many committees over the years, including the District Ethics Committee, and the Governor’s Commission to Study Causes and Prevention of Crime.
He has argued extensively in all Courts in this State – including the Municipal Courts, the Superior Court of New Jersey, the New Jersey Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He now specializes particularly in appeals, as well as civil litigation.
